I love Mount Rainer. If you are new to my blog, we live at the base of Mount Rainer and we like to spend any free time we have exploring it. I recently went hiking with my family and we loved every minute of this beautiful place. It is about 20 degree’s cooler on Rainer than it is in the valley, so it was a nice escape from the heat. We went on a very kid friendly hike that was about 1.5 miles roundtrip and we also stopped by a beautiful river to throw rocks in. I can’t skip rocks but it was fun to watch my husband try to teach my son and I how to do it. If you are ever in the area, the trail is called Grove of the Patriarchs and is a nice, family friendly walk. I’m pretty bummed that we didn’t make more time this summer to go camping because this place is seriously gorgeous. I love spending time with my husband and kids and I’m getting super bummed out that summer is almost over and school will be starting soon.
