Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My weekend consisted of Easter egg hunts, lots of chocolate, food, and family. My sister and I took our kids to an Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. on Saturday and it lasted less than 5 minutes so we had plenty of time to go to neighboring towns egg hunt. Because each hunt only lasted a few minutes, we were able to hit a total of 3 before it started getting hot and the kids getting hungry. The only thing I was really disappointed in was the parents! I had my baby in the 0-3 age category and was really disappointed that parents were taking eggs like crazy people. I walked around with my 1-year-old and let her pick up a few on her own, but there were parents that were going crazy and taking eggs as fast as they could. The 0-3 age could have easily lasted 10 minutes if parents would let the kids pick up their own or help them a little, but seriously, parents were nuts. At one of the hunts, each age section had a “golden egg” and when the city started the hunt, 2 parents ran and DOVE for the golden egg. I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe how intense parents got over 99 cent eggs, filled with Tootsie Rolls. Major eye roll. Did you go to any Easter egg hunts? Was your experience any better?
On a lighter note, we had a great weekend together and I’m grateful for Easter and so many fun memories that we had together.
