Our Memorial Day was really great this year. We spent the day enjoying our many freedoms together and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. My Dad served in the Army and every Memorial Day he goes to a breakfast to honor everyone that has served. I am sooo grateful to live in America and enjoy so many freedoms that so many people around the world do not have. Thank you to those who have served and those who safe still serving.
I am also so grateful for my two blue-eyed babies. I simply adore them!
Our day was spent on Utah Lake.. canoeing, sailing and swimming. Once the canoes were put in the water, I don’t think Carter touched dry land afterwards. He would sit in the boat until the next person would get in and take him for a ride.
{me, Carter & my brother Jason^^^}
{Younger brother Jacob}
{Older brother Steven, Carter, his girlfriend Abbie}
{Andy & I}
{Sisters Sarah, Jenni & Anna… and of course Carter}
Andy and my brother Jason took our Catamaran out but forgot the plug and it quickly took on water so they had to walk/swim the boat back in!^^^
We ended our time at the lake by sailing. Lately sailing has been a really fun pastime for my family. We love how close the lake is to our house and everyone enjoys it.
The day ended just like any other American holiday.. with a bar-b-que. Bacon wrapped hotdogs, hamburgers, potato salad, music and watching the sunset. It was a perfect ending to a great day.
