First time Ice skating

On Saturday, Carter’s school rented our local ice rink so it was a perfect opportunity to go ice skating.  Andy wasn’t able to go because of school so I took the kids solo.  The second I got the kids on the ice, I realized how much help both of them would need and I couldn’t hold both kids up by myself and ice skate at the same time.  They had Ice Skate helpers made from PVC pipe and as soon as one of those were available to use, it made all the difference. The ice skate helper was a little bit broken, so Carter still fell a lot but he was still able to skate without me assisting him.  Carly couldn’t ice skate at all, so I put her in my Lillebaby carrier on my back and she really enjoyed it after that. I had my little camera with me and you can see the video I made below. The only pictures I have are from my phone, so the quality isn’t great, but I’m still happy to have them!  We had a really good time, but I think next time, I’ll bring Andy along. 🙂
